                  Day by day it's easier,

                  But I think of you no less

                  I miss you as much today 

                  As the day you laid to rest. 

 

                  Oh how I wish

                  I could see you right now 

                  But I know I will 

                  When at God's thrown I bow.

     

                  I know you are happy, 

                  My faith tells me so 

                  I still can't help but wonder

                  Why you had to go.

 

                  But to Heaven I'll go

      Missing You was written after my little sister was killed in tragic car wreck the day before her 16th Birthday.Though it took me months to write this poem,it has helped in my healing prcess.My wish is that others grieving will see God's love through this poem and be comforted just as I am. For without God I could not face tomorrow. I love you little Sis......I'll see you again!!!

                                     * IN THE MOMENT*

                            The pain is still fresh

                             The tears still come

                              Lodged in my throat

                              Now coming up,

                              Up until I wail,

                              Until my world is a blur

                              I don't know what to do

                              What to say or pray

                              Who to call or

                              Anyone at all

                              Why should they share

                              In my continual pain?

             I can only remember,some good,some bad

                             Your smile,your face 

                             Your hair,your smell

                             The lights,the drive

                             The firemen,the doctors

                             The white,oh so white

                             It was as a movie was playing

                     The reality is here,there is no movie

                   You're gone,to share in my life no more

                            I know you see,I know you here 

                            You're always with me

                            In my heart!
